James Stephens & Sons Jewellers is recruiting for a full-time or part-time Shop Assistant to join our family-run independent jewellery store in the heart of Crawley, West Sussex. Location: Crawley, West Sussex

At James Stephens & Sons Jewellers, we've proudly served the heart of historic Crawley since 1998. As a family-run independent jewellers, we've built our reputation on exceptional customer service, expert advice, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Thanks to our continued growth year after year, we're now looking to expand our team with a new Shop Assistant.

As the face of James Stephens & Sons Jewellers, you'll be at the forefront of our business, welcoming customers, building relationships, and delivering a truly world-class customer experience.

Whether helping someone choose a special gift, assisting with repairs, or simply offering friendly advice, you'll play an important role in ensuring every customer leaves with a smile.

We are currently recruiting for either:

Full Time

• 5 days per week
• 9:00am – 5:00pm

Part Time

• 2–3 days per week
• Flexible working days
• 9:00am – 5:00pm

As a family business, we value work-life balance. We are closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays, so you won't be expected to work during these times.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a customer-facing or retail role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A friendly, approachable, and professional manner
• Consistently high standards of presentation
• A genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

Jewellery experience is a bonus, but a positive attitude and a passion for people are just as important to us.
