Returns & Refunds Policy

James Stephens Jewellers & Sons – Returns Policy

Online Purchases

For all online purchases, you have the right to return items you buy from us if you change your mind within the 14-day ‘cooling off period’. Pierced items, including earrings, may not be refundable where they have been worn or they are not returned in their original packaging.

In-Person Purchases

In-person purchases can be returned in exchange for a full refund within 30 days, only where they are faulty. If you change your mind about a purchase you have made where the product is not faulty, you may exchange it for a credit note or part-exchange it for another item at James Stephens Jewellers, providing you do this within 30 days of the initial purchase.

Product Faults

If the item was sold to you less than 30 days ago and the item is faulty, we would be happy to offer you a replacement, exchange or refund. Where an item has been repaired and the repair fails within 30 days, we would be happy to reperform the repair free of charge. The item may need to be returned to us prior to any action being taken.

If you have had the item for more than 30 days and it is faulty, we would be happy to review it and repair any issues where possible if we have determined that this damage is due to an error on our part.

There may be instances where we inform you that we are performing a repair under ‘no guarantee’. This is where the item may be worn or damaged, and although we will usually be happy to perform a repair to our best efforts, we cannot guarantee the work done.

Please note we will not be able to repair jewellery free of charge where there is damage due to general wear and tear, or where we have advised you that previous work was being done under no guarantee.

In all cases, we will ask you to provide us with your original order number/confirmation email and/or receipt.

Bespoke Items

Bespoke items we have worked with you to design or remake are unfortunately non-refundable. We will offer you an opportunity to review our proposed design and request any adjustments prior to completing an item in our workshop.

If there is a fault with your item once it has been delivered to you, we will be happy to review this if it is notified to us within reasonable time and repair it where possible and where the issue is not due to general wear and tear.

How Do I Return My Order?

To return your jewellery within 30 days, please contact us via email or phone, or come into our shop at Unit 4, The Pavilion. We may ask for your order number and details of which items you'd like to return.

Please note – we will unfortunately be unable to provide refunds or exchanges where you are not able to provide us with adequate proof of purchase such as a receipt.
