– (GIA AJP) - Accredited Jewelry Professional from the Gemological Institute of America
– (PJ Dip) - Professional Jeweller’s Diploma

What to Expect During the Valuation Process
Quick & Professional
No appointment is needed to book your jewellery in for valuation. Simply bring your items to us during our regular business hours. We usually ask that you leave your items with us for 1–2 weeks to allow enough time for:
- Careful examination and professional testing
- Accurate documentation and market research
- Photography of each piece
Once the assessment is complete, we will provide you with a printed valuation report, detailing:
- The description and specifications of each item
- The current replacement value
- Any relevant notes or observations about condition, provenance, or construction
Pricing
We believe in transparent, fair pricing for all our professional valuation services. Our fees are as follows:
- Document Fee (per valuation): £85
- Standard per Item Fee: £75
Additional charges may apply for:
- Diamonds over 1 carat: £75 per Additional Carat
- Large or complex pieces:
Coloured gemstones larger than 12mm x 9mm (oval/rectangular)
Coloured gemstones over 10mm diameter (round/square)
Items with more than 100 diamonds or gemstones
These are charged at £130 per item
- Items valued under £500: These will be grouped together as ‘miscellaneous’ and treated as a single item for pricing purposes
- Exceptional or Unusual Items (e.g. tiaras, civic regalia): These are quoted on a case-by-case basis, and may require an initial consultation before providing a fee estimate.
